How to make our home look cozy?
First, the colors!

If you want your home or apartment to feel cozy, choose a warm color palette. Subdued colors will bring a sense of calm to your home. Pastels are perfect, as are shades of orange, brown, or red. You can use them not only on the walls but also in accessories.
Nice materials

Timeless wood is a great choice, as it’s not only elegant but also warm. As much of it as possible should be present in your home—on floors, furniture, and accessories. You can also opt for wood-effect tiles. Rugs, preferably fluffy shaggy ones, should be on the floor. Don’t forget about pillows, warm blankets, and throws, preferably made of natural materials like cotton, velvet, wool, or linen.
Surround yourself with pleasant things

A cozy space is one where we feel good. Handmade items can be a great addition: throws, paintings, and decorations. Family heirlooms, photos, and childhood items can also add a touch of coziness. Giving new life to old furniture is also a brilliant idea—these can be mementos from our family home, but also items from flea markets or consignment shops
Atmospheric lighting

Warm, diffused light, spotlights. Of course, a living flame is a must. If you can’t install a fireplace, consider candles! Not only will they bring warmth to your interior, but by choosing scented candles, you can create a wafting aroma of cinnamon, coffee, or cloves, which will greatly enhance the atmosphere.
REMEMBER!
A cozy home is one with plants. Whether it’s a large plant in the corner of a room or a tiny orchid on a countertop, they will bring life and a splash of color to our home.
How to hang pictures and photos on the wall?

When choosing the layout of your home gallery, it’s worth considering the overall design of the room. If it’s symmetrically arranged, it’s worth finding a common point around which to begin creating your gallery.
Think carefully about where you want to place your painting or gallery, because where you want to hang it will determine how you hang it. For example, if you want to hang a single painting above the sofa, it should be positioned exactly in the center. The gallery should be no wider than the width of the sofa.
The shape of the gallery you choose depends entirely on your vision, but the best effect will be achieved if the painting or gallery is placed 15 to 20 cm above the sofa and takes up no less than 1/3 of its width.
If you’re choosing a painting or gallery on a blank wall, it should be positioned in the center.
What’s the best way to prepare for hanging a painting or gallery?
There is a very simple trick to this…
- If you’re hanging a single picture, apply painter’s tape to the back and mark the nail location with a marker.
- Then apply the tape, using a spirit level, to the desired location, and drive in the nail. This will ensure the picture is positioned exactly where you planned, without any unpleasant surprises. For a gallery wall, it’s best to use an old material, such as a sheet or a large piece of cardboard/paper.
- Lay the material on the floor and straighten it out.
- Then arrange the pictures on the material. Think carefully about your ideas and try a few combinations. Once you’ve chosen the most suitable arrangement, trace the pictures onto the material and mark the nail locations.
- Then transfer the sheet to the wall and secure it with painter’s tape. This way, you’ll avoid mistakes and enjoy the result you’ve always dreamed of!
