A timeless, bright, and classic design filled with life-enhancing solutions. This includes a dedicated space for cat bowls or litter boxes, a pull-out shelf for the coffee machine, and clay-based paint on the walls.
Cat cabinet
Having an indoor cat can be quite a challenge. On one hand, it's important to arrange the space so the cat always has something to engage with. On the other hand, the areas for eating and the cat’s litter box should be separated to ensure the pet feels safe and comfortable. A cat's idea of tidiness doesn’t always align with its owner’s, which is why, in this project, we designed two dedicated spaces for the cats that also help maintain order.
The first is an open shelf in the kitchen cabinets. Located at the bottom of the kitchen unit and made of laminate, this shelf houses the cats' food and water bowls. Initially, the owners were unsure whether the cats would accept this spot. However, after moving in, they reported that the cats love eating there and feel very comfortable.
The second is a cat cabinet under the sinks in one of the bathrooms. This cabinet was designed to house the litter boxes, with the cats accessing them through a visible round opening. Since the litter boxes are hidden, it’s easier to keep the space clean, and the spread of odours is minimised throughout the home.
Steam cabin
Another feature of this bathroom is the steam cabin, designed alongside a regular shower. This gives the homeowners the option of a quick shower or a relaxing steam bath, depending on their preference.
Having a steam cabin in a home bathroom offers many benefits. It promotes relaxation and rejuvenation by using steam to open pores, improve blood circulation, and help detoxify the body. A steam cabin can also provide relief from respiratory issues, easing symptoms of colds or allergies. Additionally, regular use can help reduce stress and promote relaxation, turning the bathroom into a mini spa.
Installing a steam cabin in the bathroom requires proper preparation. First, it’s important to select the right location with access to both water and electrical connections. Adequate ventilation is crucial to prevent moisture problems. The cabin must be installed on a stable, waterproof surface, and all plumbing connections need to be securely sealed to avoid leaks. It’s also essential that the electrical installation for the steam generator is handled by a professional to ensure safe operation. With proper installation, the steam cabin will provide a safe and functional space for years to come.
